Christopher David Hackett

Christopher David Hackett, 24, a resident of Theodore died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, In Troy.

He was a student at Troy University and served with the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral home with the Rev. James Thomson officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Air Force Base.

Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, from 1-3 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.

Survivors include: his mother Carla M. Hackett of Theodore his father, Frank Raymond Hackett of Mobile; a maternal grandfather John B. McDowell of Bay Minette' a brother, Frank Raymond &uot;Ray&uot; Hackett, Jr., of Troy; a sister Amanda Michelle Hackett of Theodore; and several aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Ray Hackett, Brian Woods, Andrew Brackin, Billy Gibson, Rhodie Larson and Chase Reddit.

Edna Pearl Turner Blanton

Edna Pearl Turner Blanton, died February 22, 2005 at her home. Graveside services were Friday, February 25, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Brundidge City Cemetery with Pastors John Emfinger and Don Grantham officiating.

Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge is directing. Viewing was Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.

Born November 26, 1911 to Mr. and Mrs. James Redding Turner Nee (Anna DuBose), she was the last survivor of their issue.

She taught school briefly before marrying Woodson Norris Blanton in 1933 and became licensed in Cosmetology.

Most of her years were devoted to her family and home.

She was gentle, kind, patient, generous, industrious, uncomplaining, loving, and had a quiet dignity.

She will be sorely missed.

Mrs. Blanton was preceded in death by her husband, Norris, of 51 years and a son, Leon, who died as a young child from a fall.

Surviving are her son James and daughter-in-law, Eleanor; daughter, Mildred; one grandson, Edward, and several nieces and nephews.

Annette J. Hamilton, 64, of Troy died at her home, Wednesday, February 23, 2005. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Friday, February 25, 2005

from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Stanley Echols officiating. Myra C. Barnes, 64, of Troy died Feb. 23, 2005,

in Union Springs.

Funeral services will be held Feb. 28, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Luverne Church of God in Luvern with the Pastor Greg Melvin officiating. Burial will be in Arlenos Cemetery

under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.
