Mrs. Tabbie Folmar Carter

Mrs. Tabbie Folmar Carter, 105, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at the Luverne Nursing Facility. Funeral Services for Mrs. Carter will be held Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at 12 p.m.from the Elam Primitive Baptist Church with the Reverend W.O. Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Monday from 11 p.m. until 12 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Carter is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Josephine Bryant (John S.) Gibbs of Ranburne.  A son and daughter-in-law Roy H. and Irene Carter of Goshen.  seven grandchildren; Sue McGough, Nancy Wilson, Sharon Jayroe, Cara Knighten, Louis R. Bryant, Richard H. Bryant, and J.C. Bryant; step-grandchildren Shelia Spradlin and Phillip Gibbs;  22 great-grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Henry R. Carter, a daughter Francis Kelley Rodgers and four grandchildren Judy Ann Carter, Patricia Carter, Brenda Bryant Crow and Edward Carter Kelley.

Her great grandsons will serve as pallbearers and the staff of the Luverne Nursing Home will be honorary pallbearers.

Mary Gregg Howard

Mary Gregg Howard, 90, of Troy died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at Troy Regional Medical Center. Service will be Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel, Troy. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the chapel. Rev. Michael Alsup officiating with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.

Mrs. Howard was born in Franklin, Ala. She was the daughter of the late Charles Langdon and Mary Lane Gregg Johnson. She was a member of Park Memorial United Methodist Church and taught school for 48 years.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, James Robert Howard, a brother, Charles Langdon Johnson, and a sister, Agnes Johnson Garner.

Surviving relatives include a son, Dr. Robert Howard of Troy; grandchildren, Melissa Howard, Douglas Howard, Patricia Howard and Michael Howard, all of Troy; brothers, Robert Foster Johnson of Monroe County, and Francis Johnson of Pensacola, Fla.; sister, Lillie Van Roy of Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be the grandchildren and nephews.

Peggy Lynn Donaldson

Peggy Lynn Donaldson, 35, of Clayhatchee died Friday in Birmingham, Funeral Services will be held Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, with the Rev. Dan Marler officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, from 6 p.m.

until 8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law,

Tabitha Donaldson (Wesley) Jacobs of Glenwood; two grandchildren

Landon Mathew Jacobs and Haley Michell Jacobs;

her mother and step-father

Edna and Jerry Mancil; three sisters

Mary Jane (Marion Clarence) Catt, Faye Henderson and Sue Walker; four brothers, Willie Jackson Mclendon, Donald (Clara) Mclendon, Ronald McLendon, Paul (Anita) Mclendon.

She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews
