Roy Eugene (Red) Stinson

Roy Eugene (Red) Stinson, 97, of Troy died in Troy Wednesday, January 19, 2005. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Sunday, January 23, 2005

from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Sunday, January 23, 2005 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Wayne Locklar and Reverend Alan McBryde officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy. The family request that memorials be made to First Methodist Church of Troy. The pallbearers will be Jack Rainey, Tom Murphree, Red Oliver, Tommy Dillard, Justin West and Judson West. Survivors include, son, Roy Gene Stinson of Troy, daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Lewis West of Troy and Gayle and Steve Lopez of Charlotte, North Carolina; Grandchildren, Judson and Julie West of Troy, Jonathan West serving in Uzbekistan, Justin West of Troy, Sara and James Lopez of Charlotte, North Carolina; Great Grandson, Jackson West; sisters-in-law, Virginia Stinson of Montgomery,

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Fannie Stinson, parents, Judge Elie and Sarah Elizabeth Stinson, sisters and brothers, Preston Stinson, Grover Stinson, Morgan Stinson, Judge Tom Stinson, Jerome Stinson, Ethel Boutwell, Estelle Whittington Allen and Katie Wheeler.

Edgar Loflin Prescott

Edgar Loflin Prescott, age 74 , of  Troy died Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Otis Derrah officiating.  Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing.  Visitation will be held Friday, January 21, 2005 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Dillard Funeral Home in  Troy.

Thomas Ray Minter

Thomas Ray Minter, 50, a resident of Montgomery, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 22, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Coosada Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Northcutt officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery, Leak Memory Chapel directing.

Minter was a loving and devoted husband, father, and brother who will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Minter, one son, Will Minter, one daughter, Susie Minter, and one sister, Margaret Ann Buonaiuto.

Active pallbearers will be Mark Tatum, Randall Ward, Russell Davis, Ricky Stevens, Robert Renfroe and Ronnie Sexton.

Honorary pallbearers will be his Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity at Troy State University.

Visitation will be Friday, January 21, 2005, at Leak-Memory Chapel from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Kirklin Clinic, UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

Terrance Tyrone Wilson

Terrance Tyrone Wilson, 36, of Troy, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at Troy Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Troy with the Rev. Nathaniel Griffin and the Rev. Anthony Mays officiating.

Burial will follow in Dunn's Chapel A.M.E Church Cemetery with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, January 14, 2005, at noon at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

He was born June 1, 1968, at Beard's Hospital. He was a graduate of Pike County High School and was a member of the Wal-Mart management team.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hiawatha and Annie Lou Wilson; maternal grandfather, Charlie H. Wright and a nephew, Colton D. McMillian.

Survivors include his parents, James Davis and Annie Pearl Wilson of Troy; one sister, Shanderla (Louis, Jr.) McMillian of Harvest; a brother, Nicholas T. Wilson of Montgomery; nephew, Louis C. McMillian III of Harvest; a grandmother, Cannie Mae Wright of Troy; 11 aunts, nine uncles, eight great-aunts, four great-uncles and several cousins and friends.

Rosie Lee Walter

Rosie Lee Walter, 94, of Troy died at Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, January 15, 2005. Services will be held at Pilgrim Rest Church Cemetery in Troy on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 2 p.m.

She was born on October 15, 1910 in Calhoun County, Leary, Ga. and received her education from the Calhoun County Schools.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pleas and Molly Nelson, her two husbands, Clifford Harris and Ivory Walton, five brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include niece Jeanette Hunter; and nephew, Fredrick Nelson of Jacksonville, Fla.; niece, Geneva Ervan; and nephew, Cleotis Nelson, of Washington, D.C.; two granddaughters, Julia Glassco of Glenwood; and Carrie Miles of Troy; a host of great nieces and great nephews; and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be the Masons and Pilgrim Rest Deacons.

Flower Bearers will be Ushers and Eastern Stars.
