Lois Wilson Davis

Memorial service for Lois Wilson Davis, 83, of the New Hope Community, who died November 19, 2004, will be Sunday, November 21, 2004, at 2 p.m., at New Hope Baptist Church, with Pastor Jerry Long officiating. Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

There will be no visitation.

Honored guests will be the members of her Golden Hearts Sunday School Class. She was a New Hope Baptist member for more than 64 years.

She was preceded in death by husband A.W. Wilson; husband James Robert Davis; son Andy Willis Wilson; and son-in-law Neal Adkison.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Wilson Adkison of Enterprise; her sons John R. Wilson and wife Alice, Joe T. Wilson and wife Phyllis and daughter-in-law Jessica Wilson Smith and husband Jerry, all of the New Hope Community.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Sheila Adkison Stuckey and husband Rickey of Iron City, Ga.; Sherrie Adkison Whitaker of Enterprise; Steven Wilson Adkison and wife Elizabeth of Birmingham; Joshua Fleming Wilson and wife Jill of Elba; Kelli Wilson Goodson and husband Michael of the New Hope Community; Daniel Wilson and wife McKenzie of Troy; Emily Wilson of Troy; Beau Pollard Wilson and wife Bonnie of Pelham; and Cody Nix Wilson and wife Jennifer of Montgomery. Twelve great-grandchildren include Erin and Caleb Stuckey; Sheena, Seth and Shelby Whitaker; John Martin Wilson; Hayden, Hunter, Hannah and Hillary Goodson; Victoria Wilson; and J.D. Wilson.

The family requests no flowers. Donations may be made in her memory to the New Hope Cemetery Fund.

Mary Ellen Kelley Caddy

Mary Ellen Kelley Caddy, 80, of Troy died at Troy Regional Medical Center on Thursday, November 18, 2004. Visitation will be at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Saturday, November 20, 2004,

from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Saturday, November 20, 2004, at 11 a.m., with Reverend Bo Weed officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy. The honorary pallbearers are employees of Wilma’s Beauty Shop. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy F. (Mary) Caddy of Atlanta, Larry (Barbara) Caddy of Huntsville, Steve (Julie) Caddy of Pottsville, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Joye Cushing of McDoungh, Ga., and Betty Grinke of McDoungh, Ga. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Law Kelley, and her sister, Sara Kvalsund.

Mable McLendon

Services for Mable McLendon, 90, of Troy, who died Friday, November 19, 2004, at Troy Regional Medical Center, are scheduled for 2

p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2004, at Ramah Orderly Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Fred Averett officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time on November 22. Burial will follow the service at Ramah Cemetery in the Josie Community.

She was a volunteer at Edge Regional Medical Center for 30 years. She enjoyed spending time at the Colley Senior Complex.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex P. McLendon.

She is survived by daughter, Faye Whidbee, at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania; son and daughter-in law Robert (Sally) McLendon of Montgomery; son and daughter-in-law Wayne (Martha) McLendon of Opelika; brother Brooks Richardson of the Josie Community; sister Bernice Thomas of Charlotte, N.C.; sister Judy (Max) Shiver of Troy; sister-in-law Doris Richardson of Troy; sister-in-law Irene Richardson of Blakely, Ga.; sister-in-law Mary Ming of Troy; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rob McLendon, Larry Richardson, David Whidbee, Jackson McLendon, Skip Jones and Malloy Chandler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Colley Senior Complex, 715 Elm Street, Troy, AL 36081.

Friends and family will gather at Max and Judy Shivers house, 3975 Banks Highway, at 11 a.m. for lunch.
