Elizabeth Priscilla Phelps
Graveside services for Elizabeth Priscilla Phelps, 78, a native of Troy who died Wednesday, November 24, 2004, in John Knox Nursing Home in Montgomery, will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 26 at Greenhills Cemetery, Dillard's Funeral Home of Troy directing.
She wa a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy and graduated from Troy High School. She attended the University of Alabama for one semester and continued to be an ardent supporter of the Crimson Tide.
She was also a faithful fan of the New York Yankees baseball team. She was known for her great love of cats and throughout her lifetime always cared for them.
She was preceded in death by her father, Will Phelps, her mother, Inace Phelps, both of Troy, and by a nephew, Ross Phelps, of Arlington, Va.
She is survived by her brother, William Phelps, sister-in-law Elaine Phelps, both of Mobile, a nephew, Scott Phelps of Cary, N.C., a niece, Mary Phelps Kukia, of Leonardtown, Md., and other relatives, including an uncle, Harold Windham of Montgomery, and several cousins.
The family wishes to thank the staff of John Knox Nursing Home for their excellent care and many kindnesses shown to Priscilla during her confinement.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial to a charity of choice.
