Sara Ruth Davenport

Services for Sara Ruth Davenport, 41, of Troy who died Wednesday, August 18, 2004, at Troy Regional Medical Center will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Jackson officiating.

She will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in New Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born February 2, 1963, in Troy. She completed the 11th grade at Charles Henderson High School. She attended Shady Grove Baptist Church at an early age and was presently attending Promise Land Baptist Ministries. Ms. Davenport enjoyed talking on the phone and writing.

She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Harris, grandmother, Mary "Mama" Copeland

and a sister, Martha Davenport.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Davenport; two sisters, Amanda Davenport and Diane Scott; three brothers and wife, Moses And Linda Davenport and Michael and Calvin Goolsby; four uncles, four aunts, six nieces, five nephews and special friends, the Bean family.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Floralbearers will be friends of the family.

Eloise Armstrong Barr

Services for Eloise Armstrong Barr, 76, of Alexander City, who died Saturday, August 21, 2004, at Brown Nursing Home in Alexander City, were at 3 p.m. Monday at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Rev. Rick Hayes officiating.

Burial was in Hebron Cemetery under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Colon and Lilly Armstrong, brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Iris Armstrong, sister and brother in law, Francis and J. K. Eaves, brother, William Henry Armstrong and a brother in law, Louie Mickler.

Survivors include, two daughters and husband, Betty Barr and Charles Lemmond of Alexander City and Jacqueline Barr Bundy of Troy; son and his wife, Randall and Sheri Barr of Troy; grandchildren, Lori and Bart Mercer, Chuck Lemmond, Christy Champion, Donna Boswell, Cody Barr and Brady Barr; great-grandchildren, Audrey and Lexie Champion and a sister, Mary Mickler of Macon, Georgia.

Marty Flowers

Services for Marty Flowers, 44, of Brundidge who died Friday, August 20, 2004, at Troy Regional Medical Center, were at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2004 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Revs. Neal Jackson and Wayne Williams officiating.

Burial was in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Flowers was preceded in death by his father, Richard Flowers.

Survivors include his wife, Tresa G. Flowers of Springhill; daughter, Shae Flowers of Springhill, son, Jamie Flowers of Springhill; mother, Pauline Flowers of Springhill, brother, Ryan Flowers of Springhill; mother in law and father in law, James and Bessie Grissett, sisters in law and brothers in law, Lisa and Mike Taylor and Dave and Shannon Grissett.

Iomie Fannie Galloway

Services for Iomie Fannie Galloway, 87, of Brundidge who died Sunday, August 22, 2004, at her home, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel

in Brundidge with Minister, Arnold Pledger officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Galloway.

Survivors include a sister, Beatrice Mathews of Brundidge and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Sarah E. Faulk, 90, of Troy who died Sunday, August 22, 2004, at her home will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Troy with Dr. Ellis Bush officiating.

Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at First Baptist Church in Troy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, O. A. and Maggie Faulk, two brothers, Bernard G. Faulk and Levi O. Faulk and a sister, Annie Mell F. Crawford.

Survivors include

a niece and her husband, Molly and Dr. David Currie of Sylacauga; great nephews, Paul (Jackie Bee)

Currie and Phillip Currie of Birmingham and a great-great-niece, Sarah Margaret Currie.

Selena Alloway Herndon

Services for Selena Alloway Herndon, 91, who died August 16, 2004, at Southern Spring Health Center, Union Springs, were held Saturday, August 21, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Glenwood, with Rev. John M. Bryant officiating.

Burial followed at the church cemetery under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

Born Nov. 27, 1921, she was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Clem Alloway; husband, Addison L. Herndon; sister, Luberta Debose Jackson; and brothers, Eddie Leroy Alloway, James R. Alloway, Augusta Alloway, Willie J. Alloway, and Clemmie Alloway.

Survivors include two sisters, Ivey J. Penerton, Mansfield, OH and Verba M. Brundidge, Goshen; adopted daughter, Vernisa Rogers, Glenwood; stepdaughter, Addie Lue Jackson, Birmingham; grandsons Antonio K. Rogers, Glenwood, Antrone K. Rogers, Detroit, Averick K. Rogers, and Charles Jackson III, CA; two great-grandchildren, uncle, Augusta Streeter, Louisville, KY; brother-in-law, John (Idella) Herndon, Glenwood; sisters-in-law, Helen Ballard, Rosie K. Alloway, Cleveland, OH, Margerie Alloway, Sanford, FL and Jessie Alloway, Sanford, FL; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers were members of Curtis Lodge No. 429. Flower bearers were nieces and family friends.

Mary Lucille Moody Stinson

Graveside services for Mary Lucille Moody Stinson, 85, of Troy who died Sunday, August 22, 2004, at Troy Regional Medical Center in Troy will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge with Rev. Richard Holmes officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stinson was born July 14, 1919 in Alabama. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and wife. On September 5, 2004 they would have celebrated their 64th wedding Anniversary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Moody and Olivia Rogers Moody and a son, Phillip Earl Stinson.

Survivors include her husband, James Earl Stinson; son, Joe Stinson, both of Brundidge; daughters and their husbands, Jimmie and Leslie Jackson of Dothan and Ann and Larry Webb of Pensacola, Florida; three grandchildren, Phillip Fralish of Montgomery, Joshua Webb of Pensacola, Florida and Shayne (Ben) Slingluff of Dothan.

Pallbearers will be Donald Lee, Mike Stinson, Jim Stinson, Tommy Moody, Talmadge Moody and Richard Armstrong.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Webb, Phillip Fralish, Leslie Jackson, Larry Webb and Benjamin Slingluff.
