Randall Peacock

Randall Peacock of Eufaula died after a brief illness on Sunday, July 3, 2004.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7, at Dillard Funeral Home Troy with the Rev. Burney Enzor officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Peacock was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtis Powell and Pugh Peacock.

Survivors include his wife, Sardenia Lowery Peacock; daughter, Ronda P. Ware (James), Eufaula; and son, Shane P. Peacock (Susan), Gardendale; six grandchildren, Seth, Samuel, Stephen and Sally Ann Peacock of Gardendale, and Christina and Mathis Ware of Eufaula; two sisters, Mary Sue Marrow (Hooper) of Carrollton, Ga., and Rita Kay Adkins (Harry), Barnwell, S.C.

Peacock served eight years in the United States Navy. He was retired from the State Department

of Education with 30 years of service. He was the current pastor at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church in Clayton.

Active pallbearers will be members of the Alabama VICA Alumni Association.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the building fund at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, c/o Frances B. Morris, 251 Bowden Road, Clayton, Alabama,

Philip V. Morris

Philip V. Morris, 63, died Monday, July 5, 2004, at his home in Troy.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Riverview Baptist Church in Troy with Dr. Mallone Chandler officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.

Morris, the owner of Blimpie's in Troy for seven years, was born Dec. 22, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio. He attended and was active at Riverview Baptist Church in Troy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sanford Leroy Morris, and grandparents, Bessie L. and Williams R. Sheridan.

Survivors include mother, Ruth Jenkins of Pompano Beach, Fla., wife, Alice Morris, Troy, daughter and her husband, Michelle and Allan Skeen, Troy; grandson, Dylan, Troy; brother and his wife Terry and Joyce Blake, Springfield, Va.; sister Sue Mahone and nephew Patrick Blake, Arlington, Va.; sister-in-law and her husband, Betty and Felton Dickerson, Iron City, Ga., niece Amy McCormick, brother-in-law and wife Ralph and Virginia Roberts, Panama City Beach, Fla.; Raymond and Sue Roberts, Sheridan, Ind., and several nieces and nephews.
