Kenneth F. Peacock

Services for Kenneth F. Peacock, 76, of Needmore who died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Troy Health and Rehab Center were at 4 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2004, at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Wayne Locklar officiating.

Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Peacock was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Eva Peacock; five brothers, Sam, Milford, Buck, Bill and Raymond Peacock and two sisters, Ruby Peacock and Selma Faulkner.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Hamm Peacock of Needmore, daughter and son-in-law, Sara Lynn and Mark Little of Troy; son, Dwain Peacock of Needmore; grandsons,Taylor Peacock, Blake Little and Hunter Little; sister, Sara Reeded of Montgomery; brother, Herman Peacock of Needmore and a sister-in-law, Virginia Peacock of  Needmore.

Pallbearers were Pete, Rickey, Andy and Kenny Hamm, Ronnie Gorman and Kenneth Duncan.

George J. McVay

Mr. George J. McVay, 79, of Montgomery, formerly of Troy, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, in Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2004, from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Steve Rascoe officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Tew of Dothan and Liz Owen of Montgomery; grandchildren, Leah Owen, Thomas and Sissy Pittman and Matt Owen; great-granddaughter, Renee Pittman and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie McVay and several brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer's Foundation, Mental Health Association or Park Memorial United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Harris, Charles McVay, Johnny McVay, Matt Owen, Thomas Pittman and Tony Pittman.

Honorary pallbearers will be present and former members of the Troy Police Department and the Troy Shrine Club.
