Brady Aubrey Peek

Mr. Brady Aubrey Peek, 79, of Troy Died at Jackson Long Term Care Hospital, Montgomery, Saturday, March 20, 2004.

Funeral services for Mr. Brady Aubrey Peek will be 2 p.m., today at God's Way Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig Holmes officiating with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing, with burial in Green Hills Memorial Park. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be members of the church, honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. Peek's Sunday School Class. Visitation was Monday, March 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Skeen Funeral Home, Troy.

Mr. Peek was the son of the late Alfred & Fannie Lou Harris Peek. His wife, Joy Merl Peek died Feb. 12, 2002. Mr. Peek was a member of God's Way Baptist Church, Troy, and a retired carpenter at Whaley Construction Company.

He is survived by a daughter, Elaine Peek Sims, Enterprise, and one grandson, David Austin Sims, Troy.

Frances Young Woodall

Frances Young Woodall, 94, of Troy died Sunday, March 21, 2004 at Troy Health Rehab.

There will be a Graveside service at Auburn Memorial Park in Auburn on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Ed Walter will be officiating.

Mrs. Woodall graduated from Auburn University in 1932.

Mrs. Woodall is survived by: two daughters and son-in-laws: Jean and Irving Lieberman, Evanston, Illinois; Anne and Bill Thompson, Troy, Alabama. Four Grandchildren: Jessica Lieberman, Lang Thompson, Leslie Thompson, Jeremy Lieberman. Four great grandchildren: Kim Thompson, Sabrina Lieberman, Leslie Thompson, II, Jacob Robinson Lieberman. She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie Woodall, Jr.

Millie B. Pollard

Millie B. Pollard, 74, of Tory died Friday, March 19, 2004 at her home.

Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2004 at Harrison Funeral Home from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m. Services will be Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Rev. L.C. McMillian will officiating. Burial site will be at the Antioch Church Cemetery in Banks.

Miss Millie was born on January 7, 1930 in Pike County. Her Parents are the late Mr. Ezijah Pollard and the late Mary Lou Pollard. She attended the Pleasant Ridge School and worked in public service before retiring to homemaker. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and she enjoyed quilting, gardening, working with her flowers and especially sitting on a riverbank with a fishing pole.

Millie's daughter is Dorothy L. Wallace; Son-in-law: Henry M. Wallace, Sr. of Troy; Son: Handy Frank Jackson; Daughter-in-law: Louise Jackson of Hamilton, Ohio; Six grandchildren: Glenda L. Teague (Retired US Marine) of Troy; Henry M. Wallace, Jr. (Janie M.); Howard A. Wallace, Gregory Wallace (Glenda); Kenny Earl Wallace of Troy; and Calvin Jackson of Hamilton, OH. Three Sisters: Salomi Smith (Lenard) of Troy; Esther Jackson and Addie Ramsey both from Hamilton, Ohio. She leaves behind great grandchildren: Quinterio H. Wallace of Convington, GA; Jacquez Williams, Lekeyvia Williams.

Ms. Pollard also leaves behind to cherish her memories to a host of very special nieces, nephews, cousins and close family friends.

Pallbearers will be relatives and friends of the family. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandsons and great grandsons and the floralbearers will be relatives and friends of the family.

Carolyn Hester

Carolyn Hester, 72 of Troy, died March 18, 2004 at Flowers Hospital. Visitation was at Dillard Funeral Home Saturday, March 20, 2004 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The service will be at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home Sunday, March 21,2004 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Jim Smith and Rev. Keith Price will be officiating. Burial site is at the Green Hills Memorial Park, located on Hwy 29.

Carolyn is survived by her husband: Embry Hester of Troy. Daughter: Linda and Johnny Price of Troy. Two sons: Wayne Hester of Troy and Jerry and Wendy Hester of Troy. Two grandchildren: Wesley and Misty Hester of Troy and Cheyanne Price of Troy. Two sisters: Dorothy Jean and John Rosales of Colorada and Lois and Eual Wood of Dothan. Two Brothers: Edward and Becky Barron of Troy and Charles and Carolyn Barron of Troy. Two sisters-in-law: Jeanette Barron of Troy and Madline Barron of Colorada. Carolyn is preceded in death by: parents J.C. and Myrtle Barron and brothers: Aubrey Barron and Dewey Barron.
