Lamerle Roberts Richards

Services for Lamerle Roberts Richards, 85, of Brundidge who died Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at her home will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004 at Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church with Revs. Tommy Cronier, Calvin Faircloth and Malcolm Parker officiating. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Mt. Olive Assembly of God Cemetery in Brundidge under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Richards was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Monroe (Charlie) Richards.

Survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Evielean R. Howell and Sallie R. and Frank E. Howell of Pike Road, Skeeter R. and Holman Outlaw and Linda Richards Shelton of Brundidge;

Two sons and their wives, Monroe and Winnie Richards of Jack and John Henry and Shirley A. Richards of Brundidge; nineteen grandchildren; twenty nine great-grandchildren;

five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jewell Senn and Helen Senn; brothers, John L. Roberts and Joe Mack Roberts; half brothers, David, Grover, George and Aaron Roberts; three step sisters, Henrietta Hicks, Ruth Moone and Nina Senn and a step brother James Ralph Senn.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Myrtle Brown Mathews

Services for Myrtle Brown Mathews, 83, of Troy who died Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at Troy Health and Rehab will be at 4 p.m.

Friday, February 27, 2004 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Mack Lowery officiating.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery on Knox Street under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2004 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mathews was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie W. Mathews; parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas Brown, Sr. and two brothers, James Thomas Brown, Jr. and William Thomas Brown.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Jimmy and Sally Mathews of Troy; grandsons, Jason Mathews of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Jeremy Mathews of Troy; sisters-in-law and husband, Julia Mathews and Pat Patterson of Nevada and Virginia Brown of Troy and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Sam Brown, Steve Brown, Burt Brown, Bobby Brown, Jimmy Pugh and David Barron.
