Margaret Neal Munson

Services for Margaret Neal Munson, 91, of Troy who died January 30, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital in Buffalo, New York will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2004 at Lily Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Troy with Rev. John Curry, Sr. officiating.

Burial will be in Carroll Street Cemetery in Troy under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was at 12 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Munson was born in 1912 in Pike County. She received her education in the Pike County Schools and retired as a food service worker from the Troy City School System.

She was a member of Lily Missionary Baptist Church in Troy, President of the Missionary Society, Ladies Aid Society and Silver Star Chapter # 12 OES.

Mrs. Munson was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel Neal and a sibling.

Survivors include a husband of 66 years, James Munson, Sr. of Buffalo, New York; three daughters and their husbands, Almira and Norzell Aldridge, Barbara J. Miller and Delores and Willie Bradley all of Buffalo; two sons and wife, David Munson and Willie and Sandra Munson of Buffalo; step daughter and husband, Margaree and Walter Hickman of Dayton, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Rosie L. Minson of Troy; twenty six grandchildren (four devoted: Ann, Rodney, Greg and Brian; thirty great-grandchildren; niece, Lucille Blair of Troy; nephew, Harold McCray of Montgomery; devoted friend, Curtis Thompson of Buffalo and several cousins, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family

Floralbearers will be the Silver Star Chapter #12 OES Members and Ushers.

Joan Sanders

Services for Joan Sanders, 54, of Goshen who died Thursday, February 5, 2004 at her home will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 7 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Minister Jimmy Mathews and Minister Floyd Nobles officiating.

Burial will be in Sanders Cemetery under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, February 6 at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Benny Andrew Sanders of Oak Bowery; mother, Kathleen Pearson of Pine Level; sister, Marie England of Pine Level; brother, Virgil Pearson of Atlanta, Georgia

and a mother-in-law, Frances Sanders of Oak Bowery.
