Royce Ellis

Services for Royce Ellis, 77, of County Road # 127 in New Brockton who died Monday December 22, 2003 in Dale Medical Center following a brief illness will be a 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 24 at El Bethel Assembly of God Church with Revs. Don Grantham and Mike Taylor officiating.

The body will lie-in-state for one hour before service time at the church.

Burial will be in the Old Tabernacle Cemetery under the direction of Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Ellis was born April 5, 1926 in Coffee County. He was a member of the El Bethel Assembly of God Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie L. and Rosie Flowers Ellis.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Warren Ellis of New Brockton; sisters, Velma Stone, Mavis Lee, and Carolyn Lee all of Brundidge; brother, Melvin Ellis of Brundidge and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ike Lee, Benny Ellis, James Carroll Lee, Jimmy Ray Dickey, Charles Ellis and Larry Edgar.

Robert Clem Thrash

Services for Robert Clem Thrash, 87, of Brundidge who died Monday, December 22, 2003 at Dale Medical Center in Ozark will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 23 at Richland Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Andrews officiating. The body will lie-in-state for one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Bob Thrash and Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Thrash was born July 5, 1916 in Alabama. He was retired.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Berry Thrash and his parents, Baker Thrash and Dixie Lott Thrash.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Jean and Waymond Douglas of Byron, Georgia, Dorothy and Aaron Norris of Fairhope and Glenda and Dana Hopkins of Banks; four sons and their wives, Rayvon and Dot Thrash of Brundidge, Joe and Peggy Thrash of Prattville, Leon Thrash of Enterprise, and William and Vickie Thrash of Enterprise; sisters, Dollie T. Ross and Sue T. Hartley both of Brundidge; brothers, Max Thrash and Reynolds Thrash and his wife Agnes both of Brundidge and Don Thrash of Opelika; thirty two grandchildren, fifty five great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Anna Pearl (Bryan) Skipper

Services for Anna Pearl (Bryan) Skipper, 86, of Glenwood, who died Monday, December 22, 2003 at Elba Nursing Home in Elba are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel in Elba.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Elba under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home of Elba.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hayes Funeral Home in Elba.

Mrs. Skipper was preceded in death by her husbands Shelby S. Williamson and James B. Skipper.

Survivors include daughters Mary Emma (Oren) Oglesby of Glenwood and Sandra (Danny) Floyd of Montgomery; sons Evans (Sybil) Williamson of Troy, Elkin (Shirley) Williamson of Elba; step-daughter Diane (Gayfrey) Standford of Ozark; sister Mildred Kemp of Elba; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Grace Borom Alexander

Graveside services for Grace Borom Alexander, 97, of Troy, who died Monday, December 22, 2003 at Troy Regional Medical Center, are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24 at Green Hills Memorial Park with the Revs. Ed Glaize and Bobby Weeks officiating.

Visitation is Wednesday, Dec. 24 from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband Marion E. Alexander.

She is survived by daughter Alice Alexander (Gerald) Curtis of Glenwood; sons Richard (Joyce) Alexander of Jackson and Gary (Emma) Alexander of Troy; grandchildren Debra (Marty) Hanks, Alecia (Ed) Glaize, Gerri (Paul) Schutes and Edward (Cindy) Alexander; great-grandchildren Anna Grace Glaize, Katrine Schutes, Sarah Schutes, Ryan Alexander, Curtis Glaize and Nathan Alexander; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers are Cecil Broom, Gerald Borom and Clayton Floyd.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Children's Home in Selma.

Aubrey H. Snellgrove

Aubrey H. Snellgrove, 77, of Springhill died Friday. Dec. 19, 2003, at Baptist Hospital

Services will be held at Springhill Baptist Church Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kenny Horn officiating.

Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

He was a retired Alabama State Trooper with 28 years of service. He then worked with Pike Farmers Coop for 10 years.

Survivors include his wife, Joan M. Snellgrove of Springhill; daughters, Sandra Crawford of Lake Bay, Wash., Carol Snellgrove of Dothan, Deborah Thompson of Troy and Sharon Santana of Orlando, Fla.; sons, David Snellgrove of Birmingham, shelby Snellgrove of Troy; five grandchildren,

Anneke Johnson of Washington, Derrick Thompson of Troy, Dejie Thompson of Troy, Jason Santana of Orlando, Fla., and Leslie Doty of Troy; three great-grandchildren; a mother-in-law, Olive McDonald of Nova Scotia; and a sister, Margaret Daniels of Texas.

Pallbearers are Don Kimbro, Donnie Kimbro, Ned McHenry, Gaston Tew, J.D. Wambles and E.K. Howard. Honorary pallbearers are Mr. Snellgrove's Sunday School class at Spring Hill Baptist Church.
