Mildred Davis Reeves

Mildred Davis Reeves, 84, of Americus, Ga., died Oct. 24, 2003.

Graveside services will be held Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at 11 a.m. from Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bryan Bentley officiating. The family will receive friends at the family home, 293 Upper River Road, Americus.

She was a native of Terrell County and born to the late Clarence Wheeler "Bum" Davis and Gussie Bridges Davis. She was a homemaker and member of Bethel Baptist Church where she was very active in the Young at Heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. "Jake" Reeves.

She is survived by her step-mother, Gwen Reeves of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Wayne Rose of Seymoure, Tenn., and Joe and David Bone of Ellaville, Ga.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Gene Reeves of Venezuela, Jerry and Susan Reeves of Troy, and Gary and Diane Reeves of Americus; one sister, W.H. Jewell Reeves of Americus, one step-sister, Tinley Anderson of Leslie, Ga.; and one sister-in-law, Ann Reeves of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
