Fred Mack Davis, Jr.

Services for Fred Mack Davis, Jr., 56, of Troy who died Friday, October 24, 2003 at Jackson Hospital were at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 26 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Minister Floyd Noble officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his father, Fred Mack Davis, Sr. and two brothers, William &uot;Matt&uot; Davis and John P. Davis.

Survivors include one daughter, Jamalyn Davis of Troy; four sons and their wives, Tracy Davis, Mack and Gayle Flowers, Louis and Sabrina Davis and Cliff and Tonya Davis all of Troy; mother, Mary Frances Davis of Goshen; four grandchildren, Courtney Flowers, Laken Davis, David Davis and Matthew Davis; brother and his wife, James Ebbin and Lucy Register of Troy, four sisters and their husbands, Linda and Stanley Henderson of Goshen, Brenda and Don Ponder of Opelika, Carolyn and Tommy Wood of Grovehill and Margie and Jack Witherington of Troy; sister-in-law, Jinnie Ruth Davis of Troy; half brother and his wife, Johnnie and Robertta McKenney of Pine Level; several nieces and nephews and caretaker, Kathy Watley.

Pallbearers were Charles Allen, Billy Bean, Byron Childs, Ricky Childs, Jr., Richard Hatfield and Johnathon Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers were Ray Childs, Pike County Fire and Rescue and Meeksville Volunteer Fire Department.

The family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

Colbert Galloway

Colbert Galloway, 77, of Brundidge, Alabama died on Sunday, October 26, 2003 at his home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at 2 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church with Reverend Mack King and Reverend Don Grantham officiating. Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge is directing. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation was held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge Monday, October 27, 2003 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will be a 30 minute lie-in-state prior to the service.

Survivors include, sisters and brother-in-law, Doris and Roscoe Stewart of Abbeville and Patricia Maddox of Elba; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Davis Will and Gertrude Galloway of Brundidge and John H. and Ann Galloway of Lafayette, Louisiana and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Davis W. and Leo Galloway of Brundidge and brothers, Noah Galloway and Morris Galloway.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class at St. John.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. John Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
