Leola H. Harrelson

Services for Leola H. Harrelson, 82, of Troy who died Saturday, September 27, 2003 at Pike Manor Health Carter Center in Troy was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 30 at Jack Assembly of God Church in Jack with Revs. Rick Hayes and Loyd Hodge officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday September 29 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harrelson was born June 26, 1921 in Coffee County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Harrelson; son, Malcom Harrelson and her parents, Fate Hodge and Lettie Miller Hodge.

Survivors include two sons, Billy and his wife Emily Harrelson of Prattville and Tommy Harrelson of Montgomery; two daughters, Mildred Nelson of Troy and Polly and her husband, Dale Robertson of Jack; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lena Harrelson of Troy; two brothers, Fletcher Hodge of Elba and Leavie Hodge of Deetsville and a sister, Maudie Campbell of Montgomery.

Services for Billie Jean Robbins, 55, of Oswego, Illinois who died Monday September 29, 2003 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 04, 2003 at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Brundidge with Rev. Shirlie Ellis officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, October 3 at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Robbins of Oswego, Illinois and several uncles, aunts and other close relatives.

Pallbearers will be the family.

Gene Hornsby &uot;Tunny&uot; Dingle

Services for Gene Hornsby, &uot;Tunny&uot;, Dingle, 59, of Troy who died September 26, 2003 in Panama City, Florida will be at 4 p.m. October 3, 2003 at First Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. George Gilchrist, Jr. officiating.

Burial will be in Carroll Street Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. October 02 at the funeral home.

Mr. Dingle was born March 29, 1944 in Pike County. He was a 1963 graduate of Academy Street High School and had a Bachelor of Science Degree from Alabama State University. He served in the Marines from 1965-1969 and received an honorable discharge as a Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Dingle pursued a career as a general contractor and later started his own contracting business.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calaria and James Dingle; brother-in-law, Fred Dix; sister, Lilateen Dingle; sisters-in-law, Frances Dingle and Laversia Dingle.

Survivors include sisters and their husbands, Luvenia Dix of

Detroit, Michigan, Ann and Cleveland Jones of Troy and Angrell and James Roberson of Chicago, Illinois; brothers; Charlie Dingle and Ronald Dingle both of Chicago and Frank and his wife ,Gwen ,Dingle of New York City, New York and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
