Rev. Luther Willis Tadlock

Services for the Rev. Luther Willis Tadlock, 84, of the Ewell community, who died Wednesday, Sept. 17,2003, are at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at Ozark First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Greg Doss, the Revs. Gary Chapin, Billy Joe Glover, Vaudie Lambert, Roy Creamer, Allen Chapin, and Bob Herron officiating.

Interment will be at 3:30 p.m.. in Green Hills Cemetery, Troy, under the direction of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark.

Visitation is at Ozark First Assembly of God Church from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today. The body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Friday.

The Rev.Tadlock pioneered and built First Assembly of God Church in Greenville, built the Sunday School building and Fellowship Hall at the First Assembly of God Church in Troy, started Fellowship Assembly of God Church in Enon, while pastoring at the First Assembly of God Church in Troy,

remodeled the old church and built a new church at the First Assembly of God Church in Ozark, added a building extension with nice offices, new baptistry, and remodeled the auditorium at Central Assembly of God Church in Columbus, Ga., built the Sunday School building and Fellowship Hall at Westgate Assembly of God Church in Enterprise and pastored Moore's Chapel Assembly of God Church in Newton.

He served on the Sectional Committee for 33 years, served as Sectional Youth Representative for seven years, and served as Section Christian Education Representative for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie Ruth Tadlock, Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, the Rev. Annese Chapin and her husband, thr Reverend Gary Chapin, Pasadena, Texas; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dorsey and Shirley Tadlock, Ozark, Jerry and Marty Tadlock, Dothan, and Danny Tadlock, Atlanta, Ga.; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Richard Hinds, Decatur, Alabama, and Diane and Stephen Lee, Pueblo, Colo.; one step-son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kim Johnson, Piedmont, S.C.; one sister, Sarah Kilpatrick, Troy; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Edsel and Mary Tadlock, Luverne, Joe and Marilyn Tadlock, Montgomery, and Fulton and Betty Tadlock, Montgomery; 19 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Members of Luther Tadlock's Sunday School class and special friends, George and Merle Loyal, will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Bettie L. Jones

Services for Ms. Bettie L. Jones, who died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003 at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, Ga., are Saturday, Sept. 20

at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Troy, with the Rev. Charlie L. Sankey officiating.

Final funeral arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Inc. of Troy

Ms. Jones was born to the late James Logan and Sadie Hill on September 1, 1947 in Pike County, Alabama. She was married to the late Joe Frank Jones. She was employed at University Hospital in August, Georgia.

Survivors include: two sons: Sean Jones of Greensboro, N.C.; Lancer Joe Jones of Augusta, Ga.; three sisters: Emma McGuire (John) of Troy, Oneida Simmons (Gerald) of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Carolyn Crawford of Augusta, Ga.; two brothers: Joe Logan (Bertha) of Birmingham and Brady Logan of Spartanburg, S.C.;

a sister-in-law Sarah Baker of Troy; mother-in-law Arthur Mae Jones of Troy; nine grandchildren, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
