Services for Donald &uot;Donnie&uot; Wheeler, 45, of Detroit, Mich. who died September 21, 2003 in Detroit will be at 2 p.m. September 26 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. L. C. McMillian officiating.

Burial will be in Carroll Street Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy. Visitation was from 12:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday September 25 at the funeral home.

Mr. Wheeler was born Nov. 24, 1957 in Pike County. He was a graduate of the Detroit Institute of Commerce with a degree in Accounting. He served on the Deacon Board of Euphrates Missionary Baptist Church of Detroit.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary L. Wheeler.

Survivors include two sons, Antonio T. Wheeler and Donald D. Wheeler both of Detroit; two daughters, Guinevere D. Evans of Savannah, Georgia and Valencia S. Wheeler of Detroit; father, Thomas (TJ) Wheeler of Troy; six brothers and their wives, Willie J. and Gwen Wheeler of Jackson, Leroy Wheeler of Kalene, Texas, Tony R. and Judy Wheeler of Augusta, Georgia, Ronnie and Rosa Wheeler of Dothan, Thomas and Diane Wheeler of Troy and Christopher Wheeler of Dothan and one sister and her husband, Tonya M. and Jeffrey Blackson of Montgomery.

Pallbearers will be James Andrews, Frank Andrews and D’Wayne Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers will be the brothers of the deceased. Floralbearers will be classmates.

Robert Barton Oliver

Graveside services for Robert Barton Oliver, 73, of Troy, who died Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at Edge Regional Medical Center will be Saturday, September 27 at 3 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. John Clark officiating.

Entombment is at Green Hills Memorial Park under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation is today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife Doris Oliver of Troy; four daughters, Mary Charles (Richmond) Watkins of Sylacauga, Dwana (Rob) Coleman, Tifton, Ga., Lisa Gladin of Tifton, Ga., Robbie (Larry) Bailey of Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Bart Oliver of Birmingham and Rob (Billie) Oliver of Troy; grandchildren, Desiree' Amling, Ashley Watkins, Paige Oliver, Jay Coleman, Lee Coleman; great grandchildren, Hunter Coleman, Kaylee Amling; siser Cathrine Williams of Montgomery; brother Charles (Sonny) Oliver, Virginia Beach, Va.

Pallbearers are Davis Doggett, Chris Oliver, Tim Oliver, Dennis Park, Al Shipman and Sammy Weaver. Honorary pallbearers are Nick Cevera, Jimmy Oliver, Bill Porter, Max Reeves, W.L. Stallings and Danny Williams.

J. D. Sellers

Services for J. D. Sellers, 83, of Montgomery who died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003 will be at 2 p.m. Saturday Sept. 27. at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery.

Burial will follow at 4 p.m. in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Pike County under the direction of Leak Memory Chapel of Montgomery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Sellers was a veteran of the Air Force and served in World War II. He was also retired from Sears and Roebuck and a member of the American Legion VFW.

He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn V. Sellers.

Survivors include two sons and wife, Rick and Heather Sellers and Ron Sellers; four grandchildren, Sarah Scott, Jackson Daniel, Courtney Suzette and Kyle Daniel and one sister, Annie Pearl Ingram.
