Audrey Brown Craft
Services for Audrey Brown Craft, 73, of Troy who died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Revs. W.O. Sanders and Mack Lowery officiating.
Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6
at the funeral home.
Mrs. Craft was a founding member of the Pike County Creative Writers Association. She was an avid writer with some of her work published.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Craft.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Jane and Joe Chance of Birmingham and two grandsons, Kevin Chance of Rodchester New York and Jonathan Chance of Troy.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Chance, Kevin Chance, Joe Jackson, Boy Motes, Terry Motes and Jim Woest.
Honorary pallbearers will be Denton Messick, Horace Messick and Woodrow Messick.
The family request memorials be made to the Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
Virginia Grider Guinn
Graveside services for Virginia Grider Guinn, 82, who died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003 in Columbus, Ga., are Monday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. in Green Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill Mayhew officiating. The burial is under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
Mrs. Guinn was preceded in death by her husband J.K. (Jimmy) Guinn.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Jerry Reeves of Troy, and Mary Gilma and Mutz Donner of Columbus, Ga.; grandchildren Renee and Rusty Moore, Jake and Cathleen Reeves, Martin and Mary Gates Brown; great-grandchildren Laine and Davis Moore, and Matt and Emilie Brown.

Jewel Murphy Harrell
Services for Jewel Murphy Harrell, age 88, who died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003 at a Tuscaloosa nursing home. Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park on Highway 29 in Troy, Alabama with the Rev. Steve Rascoe officiating. Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy Friday, Sept. 5 from 5 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, C. A. &uot;Gus&uot; Harrell; three brothers, Cecil, Frank and Wade Murphy; one sister, Edna Murphy Shell; a nephew, Willie Frank Murphy and her parents Walter W. Murphy and Ada Townsend Murphy and her beloved Aunt Susie Townsend. Aunt Susie raised the entire family after the death of both parents. She is survived by three nephews, Donald Ray Murphy, Jackson Wayne Murphy and William Murphy Shell, one niece, Carolyn Griffin and other relatives and friends.
