Video game crackdown continues

Troy police made another seizure of a video gaming machine Wednesday.
Arrested and charged with
one count of possession of a gambling device was Deann Cannon, 26, of Troy, said Sgt. Benny Scarbrough, spokesman for the Troy Police Department.
The arrest came after police discovered a video gambling machine at Brown's Country Mart on Hwy. 231.
Also arrested was Paresh Patel, 34, of Troy, on one count of possession of a gambling device. That arrest stemmed from discovery of a machine a Shoppers Stop on Tuesday. Police had allowed Patel to arrange child care before taking him into custody.
Possession of a gambling device is a Class A misdemeanor.
Scarbrough said these cases were still under investigation, as were investigations into other suspected locations.
More arrests are possible, he said.
