Russell Berry

Graveside services for Russell Berry, 90, of Troy who died Friday July 25, 2003 at Pike Manor Nursing Home was at 4 p.m. Saturday July 26, 2003 at Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 29 with Minister Jimmy Mathews officiating.

Burial was be under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

There will be no visitation.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Berry of Troy; two grandchildren, Sarah Boo Brantley of Kent, Washington and James Ivey Brantley of Nashville, Tennessee; seven great-grandchildren, Katie Elizabeth Nikkel, Timmy (Bear) Nikkel, Russell Nikkel, William Herrington Nikkel, Mark Brantley, Austin Brantley and Logan Brantley.

Pallbearers were Ben Andress, Hubert Conner, William Lunsford, Brad Money, Max Shiver and Jack Walters.

The family request memorials be made to the Collegedale Church of Christ.

David Aubrey &uot;Bud&uot; Hutto

Services for David Aubrey &uot;Bud&uot; Hutto, 82, of the Tanyard Community who died Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery, was Saturday, July 26 at 11 a.m. at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy.

Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery in the Tanyard Community under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, July 25 at the funeral home.

Mr. Hutto was born in Bullock County, Ala., to the late Ike and Lillian Hutto. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Fuller, and two brothers, Joe Hutto

and twin brother Osborne Hutto.

Mr. Hutto is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lecy Golden Hutto of Tanyard; sister Virginia Haisten, Trussville; sisters-in-law, Lane Hutto, Tanyard; Elma and husband John Fryer of Brundidge; Grace Ingram, Troy; Myrtice Golden, Columbus, Ga.; brothers-in-law Stanley and wife Genell Golden, Columbus, Ga.; Harold E. and wife Webbie Golden, Tallassee; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Dennis Golden, Don Haisten, David Hutto, Durwood Hutto, Paul Hutto, John Ingram and Conley Jordan.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, c/o Gene Harrison, Rt. 2, Banks, Ala. 36005.

Ruth Taylor Phillips

Ruth Taylor Phillips, 88, of Troy, died Saturday, July 26, 2003, at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held at Good Hope Baptist Church Monday, July 28, 2003, at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Cephus Phillips, Wayne Locklar and W.O. Sanders officiating.

Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be at Good Hope Baptist Church Monday, July 28, 2003, at 2 p.m.

Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Cephus and Betty Phillips of Quincey, Fla.; two grandsons, Daniel Shane Phillips and Joey Austin Phillips, both of Troy; a great-grandson, Austin Sanderson Phillips of Troy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cephus Austin Phillips Sr. and her parents, William Alexander (Bill) and Leanna Spivey Taylor.
