Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation was at noon Monday January 20, 2003 at the funeral home.
She was born February 16, 1950 in Pike County. Her parents were A.V. Stringer and Lillie M. Leverette Stringer. She attended Pleasant Ridge Public Schools of Pike County. At an early age she confessed her faith in Christ and united with Clay Hill Baptist Church. She was a dedicated employee for many years at
the Coffee Kettle in Troy until her health failed.
Miss Stringer was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Denise Stringer and her brother, Bo Dillie Stringer.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Dan Stringer and Wesley Aaron Stringer, both of Troy; two grandchildren, Tajhia S. Grant and Rodney Grant, Jr., both of New Haven, CT.; six sisters, Dorothy (Willie) McNabb, Lena Siler, Ossie Burden and Missy Sneed all of Troy, Fannie (Charlie) McGhee of Derby City, CT. and Peggy Jean Daniels of Birmingham; brother, Eddie (Connie) Stringer of Troy; two uncles, Willie Frank (Queen) Leverette of Troy and George Leverette, Jr. of Panama City, FL.; two aunts, Minnie (Sammie) Douglas of Panama City and Corrie Leverette of Glenwood; two nieces, Dorothy
Ann McNabb and Joann Culver; special nephew, Jason Keith Siler; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a special thanks to Southern Springs Health Center, Hospice and Edge Regional Medical Staff.
Pallbearers are Ricky McNabb, James McNabb, Cleohis McNabb, Robert McNabb, Willie C. McNabb, Ray Charles McGhee, Gregory Stringer, Tyrone Stringer and Ramon McNabb.
Flowerbearers will be the nieces and friends.
