In anticipation for the new school year, all Charles Henderson High School Blue Machine members and all Charles Henderson Middle School eighth-graders and their families are invited to a covered dish dinner at 6 p.m. at Murphree Park on July 10.

&uot;It will be the first Band Foundation meeting,&uot; said the new Blue Machine director Amanda Ford. &uot;We'll have the meeting schedule and parents will get to volunteer for lots of fun stuff. We will also talk about camps, fundraisers, the membership drive and the general plans for the year.&uot;

High school band students will also be able to pick up their music for the fall and order supplies for the coming school year.

Ford said the entire family is welcome to attend the dinner and that no RSVP is necessary.

&uot;They can just show up,&uot; she said.

Those who come are asked to bring something to eat and a drink.
