Good morning and Happy Birthday, America!

The Fourth of July is perhaps the best reminder of our nation's significance on the world stage.

Born out of hope, a great nation has truly been raised up on a new continent, to borrow from President Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.

The greatness of our nation, however, has come at the expense of many of countrymen, and the sacrifices of all Americans.

We must never forget those who have fought and died for us, who have fought and lived for us and who have provided the leadership that has brought us this far.

Equally important are the millions of Americans who have been the silent patriots. The men and women who have worked each day to improve their small corner of the country, and by so doing, have improved the entire nation.

Throughout our nation's history - though there has been conflict and controversy - we have steadfastly held onto the cornerstones of our nation: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

One this Fourth of July, our fervent hope and prayer is that those cornerstones continue to be the guiding light that will lead us into the future.

Happy Birthday, America.
