Recreation leagues announce all-star teams

Five All-Star teams have been announced so far, and two more will be announced in the following days.

The Dixie Angels team was selected late Tuesday night and will be available later today. The Dixie Minor team will be selected later in the week and the Dixie Belles are still playing their games.

The Dixie Ponytail League named its All-Star team. The All-Star Ponytails are Kasee Carter, Cameron Debose, Brandi Henderson, Nicole Jones, Carrie Little, Kristen Messick, Julie Money, Kayla Rials, Kelli Ann Sanders, Melanie Sims, Bobbi Jo Strother and Shera Upshaw. Their sub-district tournament begins June 27 in Enterprise.

The Dixie Youth League selected two all-star teams. The members of the American League all-start team are Alex Adams, Clifton Brady, Gregory Davis, David Fleming, Corey Goodson, Andrew Johnson, Quavian Lawson, Clay Masey, Mitch McLeod, Jared Rogers, Parker Sanders, Chance Shaver and Blake Thomas. Their sub-district tournament will be at Brantley beginning July 5.

The National League all-stars are Chase Connell, Bradley Floyd, Donta Harris, Ethan Harris, Douglas Hawkins, Wesley Hayes, Ross Hixon, Dario Rouse, Jake Smith, Will Starling, Logan Stewart, William Teal and Trey Walters. The Dixie Youth National League sub-district tournament will begin July 5 at Abbeville.

The Dixie Boys 14-year-old team is comprised of Chase Avant, Zachary Campbell, Seth Copeland, Joshua Dykes, Daniel Farrar, Jonathan Goolsby, Tanner Hensley, Brandon Hill, Chadwick Jordan, Gregory Lee, Chase Rogers, Blake Sanders and Taylor Sunday. Their sub-district tournament will begin June 20 in Luverne.

The 13-year-old team for Dixie Boys is comprised of Aaron Allen, Jace Colley, Justin Henderson, Sam Jones, Jeremy McGuire, Paul McIlwain, Russell Osborne, Darrell Reynolds, Dustin Smith, Drew Vaughan, Jonathan Wade, David Williams and Ryan Williamson. Their tournament will also be in Luverne beginning June 20.
