Ralph Johnson

Services for Ralph Johnson, 54, of Troy who died April 30, 2003, at his home will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2003, at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Troy with the Revs. Larry Bland and Jeffery Scott officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Troy under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be at 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was born June 21, 1948, in Covington, Tenn. He had a childhood education from the Native State of Tennessee and was an auto mechanic by trade.

He was preceded in death by his father, Freeman Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Cora Gipp Johnson of Troy; mother, Lorine E. Johnson of Covington, Tenn.; two daughters, Marlyn of St. Louis, Missouri and Denise El-Heart of Ind.; goddaughter, Chrystial Woods of Virginia; three sisters and husband, Linda Taylor and Ruth and Harnett Weatherspoon of Detroit, Mich., and Joyce Adams of Covington; three brothers Paul, Clarence and Lawrence Taylor all of Detroit; mother-in-law, Annie Pearl Neal Gipp of Troy; two brothers-in- law and their wives Willie and Annie Pearl Gipp of Troy and Willie Joe and Mary Gipp of Atlanta, Ga., and several nephews, nieces and other relatives.

James Garrett Ellis

Services for James Garrett Ellis, 55, of Brundidge who died Friday, May 2, 2003, at his home will be at 11

a.m. Monday, May 5, 2003, at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Brundidge.

Burial will be in Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Brundidge under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2003, at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Ellis of Brundidge; daughters and sons-in law, Jenny and Mitchell Foster of Highland Home and Jodie and David Singleton of Brundidge; grandson, Ty Singleton; father and mother, Lenny and Bobbie Ellis of Brundidge; sister and brother-in-law, Linda Ann and Richard Ingram of Riverdale, Ga., and a brother and sister-in-law, Max and Lynn Ellis of Springhill.

Pallbearers will be Employees of Ellis Metal, Inc.

Billy D. Bray

Services for Billy D. Bray, 63, of Brundidge who died at his home Saturday, May 3, 2003, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church in Brundidge with the Rev. Tommy Cronnier officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2003, at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Mary M. Bray of Brundidge; son and his wife, Wayne and Leigh Ann Bray of Brundidge; daughters and their husbands, Michelle and Park Sessions of Brundidge and Melody and Marc Stansberry of Troy; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Eugene Davenport of Troy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Mernette Bray of Brundidge and Randolph and Effie Jo Bray of Troy; mother-in-law, Ibera Green of Brundidge; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sherman and Morrell Mobley and Wallace and Lou Nell Mobley of Brundidge and James and Sue Mobley of Andalusia and several nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
