Goshen High School defeated Lineville 5-3 Wednesday in the first round of the state playoffs.

Wesley Wright was the MVP of the game, pitching a complete game and striking out 11. He also went three-for-three in the game and knocked in four runs.

Foster Styron also had a hit and an RBI. Goshen will play Saturday at 3 p.m. at home.
