Pfc. John Eli &uot;Johnny&uot; Brown
Pfc. John Eli &uot;Johnny&uot; Brown, of Troy, and a member of the 101st Airborne 2-44 Ada stationed at Ft. Campbell, Ky., died early this week in Baghdad, Iraq.
Brown is survived by his parents, Ed and Bonnie Brown of Troy; a sister and brother-in-law, Shane and Jessica Brown Tatum of Eufaula; a brother and sister-in-law, Shayne and Michell Brown of Banks; a niece, Madison Brown; nephews, Weston Brown, Bryce Tatum and Brayden Brown; grandmother, Bonnie J. Brown of Troy; aunts and uncles, Brenda and Jerry Marcum of Troy, Ray Brown of Montgomery, Randall and Dianne Brown of Montgomery, Ouida Faye and Leroy Watson of Semmes, Willardene and Lawrence Watson of Wilmer, Betty and Ben Andress of Troy, William Salter of Evergreen and Dale and Dot Salter of Biloxi, Miss.; and several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Johnny Brown Memorial Fund at the First National Bank in Troy or the First National Bank in Brundidge.

Ailene Stricklin Williamson
Ailene Stricklin Williamson, 81, of Troy died Friday, April 28, 2003, at Edge Regional Medical Center.
Services will be Monday, April 21, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. Steve Rascoe officiating. Burial will follow in Little Oak Methodist Cemetery in Little Oak with Dillard Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 20, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Survivors include: daughters Gail King Soles of Pery, Ga., Jo Ann (Buddy) King McQuagge of Montgomery; a son, Bob (Karen) Williamson of Troy; four grandchildren, Carmen Dubose of Springfield, Mo., John (Angie) Dubose of Prattville, Joe (Wendy) Soles of Atlanta and Graham Williamson of Troy; a sister, Gussie Smart of Elba; great-grandchildren Annabelle Dubose and John Thomas Dubose, III, both of Prattville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert George Williamson, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Bill Cowart, Charlie Botts, Tracy Deal, Billy Godwin, Bryan Lee and Hansel Stricklin.
Mildred Barr Helms
Mildred Barr Helms, 87, of Glenwood, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Pike Manor Nursing Home.
Services will be held at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home Monday, April 21, 2003, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Rick Hayes officiating.
Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 20, 2003, from 6-8 p.m.
Survivors include: two sons, Wayne Helms of Lilburn, Ga., and Lex and Dot Helms of Gleenwood; four grandchildren, Tanya Wilson, Melanie Averill, Brandon Helms and Blakely Helms; four great-grandchildren, Amelia Wilson, Ashley Averill, Madison Averill and Forrest Wilson; two brothers, William Ralph Barr of Clarksville, Ga., and James Barr of Clarksville, Ga.; cousins Mary Alice Napper and Merle Baker; and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clip Helms, and two sisters, Minnie Lou and Myrtle. Pallbearers will be John Averill, Blakely Helms, Brandon Helms, Claud Johnson, Danny Paul and Shayne Wilson.
Memorials may be made to Wiregrass Hospice.
Amber Lockley
Amber Lockley, 14, of Brundidge died April 17, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.
Services will be Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Brundidge with the Rev. Avert Walker officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2003, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy.
She was born June 16, 1988, to Jimmy and Tammy Lockley of Shiloh. She was a ninth grade student at Pike Liberal Arts School.
Survivors include: her parents, Jimmy and Tammy Lockley of Shiloh; a sister, Alecia Lockley of Shiloh; grandparents, Buck and Marie H. Sneed of Shiloh and Carlton and Jean Lockley of Goshen; a great-grandmother, Nettle Wirthington of Goshen; aunts and uncles, Tracey and Rusty Burnham of Jay, Fla., Tim and April Sneed of Troy, Terry and Kay Sneed of Troy, Billy Lockley of Troy, Carl and Faye Lockley of Glenwood; cousins, Jacob and Brittany Burnham of Jay, Fla., T.J., Taylor and Tyler Sneed, Kaitlen and Kayla Garrett, Blake Lockley and Rachel Lockley, all of Troy.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Sneed, Terry Sneed, Rusty Burnham, T.J. Sneed, Billy Lockley, Carl Lockley, Blake Lockley, Kenneth Childs and Patrick Lucas.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Pickett and the freshman class of Pike Liberal Arts School.
