Tobe Alwyn Horn
Services for Mr. Tobe Alwyn Horn, 83, of Panama City Beach, Fla., were Monday, April 14, 2003 at 1 p.m. at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Panama City with the Rev. Ron Ball officiating.
Burial was at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation was at the funeral home Sunday, April 13 from 5-8 p.m.
Mr. Horn was born in Goshen, Ala., and moved to Panama City in 1999 from Jamestown, Tenn.
He was a retired plant manager for a recycling company, a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church in Panama City Beach and a member of the VFW Post No. 10555 in Walton County.
He enjoyed freshwater fishing.
Mr. Horn is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Jane Horn of Panama City Beach; a brother, Bill Horn and wife Hortense of Brundidge; sisters, Doris Newman and husband James of Troy, Burnice Nunnelee of Montgomery and Edith Boyd of Gainesville, Fla.; grandsons Brian Horvath of Allen Park, Mich.; and a great-granddaughter, Cooper Horvath of Allen Park, Mich.
Pallbearers were Matt Horvath, Brian Horvath, Bobby Holcombe, Lloyd Nunnelee, Robert Holcombe and James Newman.
Kathleen Sipper Legg
Service for Mrs. Kathleen Sipper Legg, 77, of 31270 Highway 87 North, Troy, who died Friday, April 11, 2003, at her residence, were at Hebron Baptist Church on Sunday, April 13 at 2:30 p.m. with the Revs. Ray Stinson and Rick Hayes officiating.
Burial was at Hebron Church Cemetery in Jack.
Visitation was at Hayes Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12 from 6-8 p.m.
Mrs. Legg was preceded in death by her husband, John Victor Legg; daughter, Barbara Shiver; grandson, Eric Legg; brothers, Edgar Sipper and John Sipper Jr.; and sisters Mattie Mae Dawkins, Francis Layton and Winnie Griswold.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Kathy L. and Richard McLeod of Troy, Brenda McDurmont of Troy and Ronnie Shiver of Brundidge; sons and daughters-in-law Hayward and Shirley Legg and John M. and Sharron Legg, both of Jack; sister Irene Layton of Enterprise; brothers Hewey Sipper of New Brockton and Herbert Sipper o Winter Garden, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Eula Mae Pittman
Services for Eula Mae Pittman Walters, 88, of Troy, who died Sunday, April 13, 2003, in her home, will be Tuesday, April 14 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Minister George Merritt officiating.
Burial will follow in at the Antioch Church of Christ in Shellhorn under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home.
Visitation was at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Monday, April 14 from 6-8 p.m.
Mrs. Walters is survived by daughters and sons-in law Sue and Cecil Langston of Dadeville and Mary Ann and Jack Norton of Troy; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Judy Walters of Troy; brothers Robert and Kenneth Pittman, both of Troy; sister Edna Gandy of Lakeland, Fla.; a special niece, Brenda Sue Pittman Hooks of Troy; seven grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Dunn, Carl Garner, Mike Langston, Charles Gandy, Gregory Walters and Phillip Walters.
