Margene Reeves Phillips

Services for Margene Reeves Phillips, 81, recently of Auburn, who died Saturday, April 5, 2003, in Birmingham, were held Monday, April 7, 2003, at 3 p.m. at the chapel in Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

The Revs. Howard Porter and Charles Cummings officiated.

Burial was at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Monday, April 7, 2003, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Mrs. Phillips was a retired South Central Bell employee after 32 years of service.

She was also a member of Auburn Methodist Church.

Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Phillips, and her parents, Grady L. and Annie Rebecca Moore Reeves.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jimmie Sue and William F. Qualls of Birmingham; her granddaughter and husband, Katherine and Howard Porter of Auburn; one great-grandchild, Tripp Porter of Auburn; a sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Shelton and Dot Pinkerton of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Homer and Sally Reeves and George and Louise Reeves, both of Troy; nieces and nephews, Sharon Pinkerton, Drew and Carolyn Pinkerton and Grady and Vickie Reeves; and great nieces and nephews, Jason and Ellie Reeves, John Reeves and Lauren Pinkerton.

Pallbearers were Jerry Boutwell, Richard Bratton, Drew Pinkerton, Grady Reeves, Jason Reeves and John Reeves.
