Mack 'Boosy' Murry Jr.

Services for Mack 'Boosy' Murry Jr., 50, of Troy, who died Feb. 24, 2003, at his home, will be at noon Feb. 26 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earnest Green officiating.

Burial will be held in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Grady with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

There will be no visitation.

He was born Oct. 6, 1952, in Montgomery County to Mack Murray Sr. and Margaree Murray. He completed the ninth grade and was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Grady.

Survivors include his mother, Margaree Murry, and his father Mack Murry Sr. or Grady; a daughter, Yasheria Murry Hall of Lake Wells, Fla.; four brothers and their wives, James and Tabitha Edwards of Pompano Beach, Fla., Willie G. and Patsy Murry of Shorter, Norman Murry of Grady and Otis Murry of Jonesboro, Ga.; five sisters and their husbands, Dorothy and Earnest Bodiford of Luverne, Margaret and the Rev. Jimmie Lee of Grady, Patricia and Sylvester Moore of Sellers, Valerie and Roy Poole of Troy and Jannie and Arthur Walton of Troy; two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Earl Sims

Services for Earl Sims, 80, of Thomasville, who died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at his home will be at 10 a.m. today at Pine Hill Church of God with the Revs. Robert Newman, Tom George and Bruce Lavan officiating. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery in Sunny South with O'Braynt Chapel Funeral Home Directing.

He was born Jan. 6, 1923, in Sunny South, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked as a logger. He was a member of Pine Hill Church of God in Pine Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Ruth Sims of Thomasville; two daughters, Jo Ann Pope of Vineland and Debbie Smith of Pine Hill; two sons, Hank Sims of Troy and Phillip Earl Sims of Camden; two sisters, Helen Burge of Greensboro and Una Rae Hill of Pine Hill; two brothers, Robert M. Sims of Pine Hill; and Cecil Sims of Sunny South; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Pope, Hustin Sims, Stuart Sims, Tyler Sims, Jack Sims, Tray Smith and Phil Sims.

Suzanne Williford Tinnea

Services for Suzanne Williford Tinnea, 54, a native of Troy and longtime resident of Mobile, who died on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at a Mobile hospital, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Ministers Paul Ingram of Mobile and Perry Green of Troy officiating.

Interment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

After retiring from a wonderful career with her "family"at Allstate Insurance, Suzanne enjoyed her committee work at her church, Mardi Gras times in Mobile, Pensacola and Biloxi and all the craft booths at the Elberta Sausage Festival, but most of all she enjoyed her time at home with her girls (puppies) Prissy and Belle. Mrs. Tinnea was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis A. and Norma G. Williford; two brothers, Lewis H. and David Williford and a brother-in-law Asa M. Carter.

She is survived by her husband, Noble W. Tinnea of Mobile; step-daughters, Carrie (John) Hyland of Foley and Tracie (James) Faessel of Mobile; grandchildren, Brady Faessel and Hannah Hyland; sister, Betty Jean Carter of Troy; brothers, Hubert E. (Pat) Williford of Pensacola, Fla., and Richard N. (Deborah) Williford of Wetumpka; uncle, Lex (Ruth) Griffin; aunt, Oleta Ledbetter, both of Troy; seven nieces; two nephews; six great-nieces; six great-nephews, four great-great-nieces; two great-great-nephews; other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Kenneth Carter, Lewis Williford, Calvin Lott, Herbie Davis, Tim Elliott, Douglas Beck and John Wiley Mitchell.

Services for Jewel Ethel Blair (Chut) Hudgens, 86, of Glenwood, who died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, will be at 2 p.m. today at

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buck Hudgens; her parents, Henry Oliver and Carra Sasser Blair; brothers, Dewey Blair, L.C. Blair, Hershel Blair and James Wesley Blair; sisters, Lorene Massey, Glennie Mae Richburg, Iva Lois Davis and Lola Bryan;t and her granddaughter, Mary Alice Higgins.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in law, Jerry and Sharon Hudgens, Crestview, Fla. and Kenneth and Lynn Hudgens of Glenwood; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carra and Don Higgins, Babb, Mont., and Charlotte and Don Hall of Montgomery; eight grandchildren, Beth Higgins, Michael Higgins, Susan Higgins, Melissa Ley, Michael Hudgens, Jeffrey Hudgens, Meredith Hall and Zachary Hudgens; four great-grandchildren, Emma Giron, Michael Hudgens, Megan Hudgens and Justin Ley; and several nieces and nephews, including Darlene Spencer of Amarillo, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Blair, Roger Blair, Boyd Berry, Jack Norsworthy, Nick Dawkins and Timmy Dickey.
