TSU Volleyball team claims second place at tournament

NEW ORLEANS – Troy State claimed second place at the season-opening Kathy Trosclair Invitational after defeating Northwestern State early in the afternoon 3-0 and lost to the tournament champion Tulane 3-0, to finish the tournament 2-1.

Appy State’s reputation precedes them

Last week, at about this same time, Troy State was preparing to face Alabama A&M, a team which they knew little about.

BOONE, NC – No. 2 Troy State (2-0) recovered an Appalachian State (1-1) onside kick with 46 seconds left to preserve a 34-28 victory over the No. 4 Mountaineers.

Charles Henderson Middle School quarterback Martesi Carlisle ran for two touchdowns and threw for another to lead the Trojans past Andalusia Middle School 32-16 on Tuesday night at Municipal Stadium.
