Eula Mae Carter

Eula Mae Carter, 77, 23 Dogwood Drive, Troy, died July 24, 2002, at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held Monday, July 29, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Earnest Green officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

There will be no visitation.

He was born Oct. 12, 1924, in Pike County.

Survivors include two children, Donna C. (Tommie) Blair of Troy, James L. (Lauree) Morris of Goshen; two grandchildren, Kenya C. Champion and Toshiba S. Pollard; one niece, Annie B. Adams of Englewood, N.J.; and several relatives and friends.

George Washington Johnson

George Washington Johnson, 53, 15 County Road 52, Ariton, died in his home Friday, July 26, 2002.

Services will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in

Brundidge Sunday, July 28, 2002, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Don Grantham, the Rev Donnie Marler and the Rev. Sammy Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Visitation was Saturday July 27, 2002, from 6-9 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.

Survivors include hs wife, Linda Wells Johnson of Ariton; six children, Christopher George Johnson of Woodland Park, Colo., Billie Jo Porterfield of Ariton, Camron Deboard of Riverview, Fla., Lynn Sanders of Ruskin, Fla., Terry Sanders of Ruskin, Fla., and Gary Joe Sanders of Bowling Green, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; four sisters, Mavis Sawyers of Jack, Edna Simmons of Phenix City, Faye Hattaway of Banks and Margaret Turner of Seale; three brothers, Delmer B. Johnson of Troy, Kenneth Johnson of Ariton

and Donald Johnson fo Phenix City.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Barrentine, Randy Hattaway, Steve Johnson, Robbie Merciers, Ashley Money, Jeff Portwood, Del Sawyers, Terry Simmons.
