R.T. Roberson

R.T. Roberson, 45, of 221 Aster Avenue in Troy, died July 18, 2002 at her residence.

Services will be held on July 27, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend A.C. Johnson.

Burial will be at Elam Cemetery in Springhill, Alabama.

Visitation will be held on July 26, 2#a.m. – 6 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home.

His memorials include Military Honors by Charlie Angels of Troy.

Roberson was born January 16, 1957 in Alabama to the late Mrs. Jessie Ree Roberson and R.T. Foster.

He was a graduate of Charles Henderson High School and after graduating, he joined the United Marine Corps.

Roberson is survived by his father, R.T. Foster of Brundidge; three children: Tasha Roberson, Roderick Roberson, and Demetris Howard, all of Troy; nine sisters Sandra (James) Matthews, Theresa (James) Collins, Nora Jackson, all of Troy, Vivian Wilcoxin of Springhill, Alabama, Lillie B. Foster, Dorothy (Ronnie) Wilson of Brundidge, Gloria Wilson of Kentucky, Dorothy (Daniel) Davis of Panama City, Florida, Nancy (James) Boyd of Ozark, Alabama; four brothers: Harold (Helen) Roberson of Chicago, Illinois, Amos (LaShon) Wilcoxin of Troy, R.L. Foster of Dothan, and Richard Foster of Louisville; seven grandchildren, six uncles:Barney (AddieRuth) Roberson, Joe Foster, Gilbert (Diane) Foster, Joe Foster, Sterling (Annie Claude) Foster and Will Foster; one aunt: Eunice Pearson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and one very special cousin: LaToya Roberson of South Carolina.

Pallbearers will be Military Honors by Charlie Angels of Troy.

Floralbearers will be friends of the family.

Sara Carlisle Robinson

Sara Carlisle Robinson, 78, of Brundidge, Alabama died Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at her residence.

Services will be held Sunday, July 28, 2002 at 1 p.m. at Beulah Hill Missionary Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Eric Bland.

The burial will be at Carroll Street Cemetery.

The funeral home will be George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 27, 2002 at noon.

Robinson was born on August 9, 1923 in Pike County, Alabama to the late Buck and Sang Meadows Carlisle. She attended the public schools of Pike County and was a member of Pentecostal Church in Troy.

Robinson was survived by two daughters: Eva Mae Pruitt and Mildred (Anthony) Robinson of Brundidge, Alabama; one brother: James (Della) Thomas of Troy; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one aunt: Addie Bell Pennington of Banks, Alabama; two sisters: Susie Lee Smith of Troy and Lucile Martin of Chicago, Ill.; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The pallbearers will be family and friends.
