Graveside services for Aubrey Smith, Jr., 77, of Troy who died at his home Tuesday July 16, 2002 was at 2 p.m. Wednesday July 17, 2002 at Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lesley Allen officiating. Burial was in Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Dillard funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday July 17, 2002 at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Anne Ward Smith of Springhill; son and his wife, Ronnie and Christina Ward Smith of Troy; daughter and her husband, Isabelle and Jehu Frost of Ariton; sister, Lucille Gibson of Troy; father-in-law, J.C. Ward of Union Springs; four grandchildren; aunt, Bertha Ward of Troy and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Christine Kelly, 49, of Troy who died July 13, 2002 in Ocean Springs Hospital in Mississippi, Alabama will be at 1 p.m. July 20, 2002 at New Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Townsend officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. July 19, 2002.

Christine was born on November 02, 1952 in Linwood. Her parents were John William Kelly and Tessie H. Kelly. She was a 1971 graduate of Charles Henderson High School and Trenholm State Technical College and an Honor Graduate of Riley Community College in Nursing in Troy. She was employed by the State of Alabama Home Health Services from 1984-2002. Christina loved fishing and visiting the sick and elderly.

Survivors include a daughter, Tonjii Kelly of Baltimore Maryland; mother, Tessie H. Kelly of Troy; two brothers and wife, Willie and Annie Hooten of Clinton, Maryland and Elighia Hooten of Birmingham; sister, Glenda Kelly of Troy; grandson, Promise Kelly of Montgomery; nieces, Adrianne Hooten of Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland and Chelsea Kelly "Moot Moot" of Troy; great nephew, Jaylon Gray of Andrews Air Force Base , Maryland; aunts, Lily B McKinnon of Birmingham, Gritha McKinney of Birmingham, and Irene Kelly of Troy; great aunt, Limmie Jordan of Birmingham; adopted god daughter, Brenda Arnold of Troy and Several Cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John William Kelly.

Pallbearers are Members of the Class of 1971.

Honorary Pallbearers are the 1st. Cousins.

Floral Bearers are State of Alabama Home Health Services.
