Don Chandler

Services for Don Chandler, 50, of Troy who died Friday, June 28, 2002, in Montgomery was at 2 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2002, at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Dr. Malone Chandler officiating.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002, in Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m

Monday, July 1, 2002, at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Mr. Chandler was a native of Mobile, a graduate of Murphy High School, then received a degree in business administration from Mobile College. He moved to Troy in the 1990’s and began working for Wiley Sanders Truck Lines where he remained until his death.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Bradley Chandler of Troy; two daughters, Penelope Smith of Mobile and Christen Chandler of Spanish Fort; parents, Marion E. and Margaret Taylor Chandler of Mobile; sister, Charlotte Chandler of Troy; brother; Marion Chandler III of Mobile; stepchildren, Jami Dickey, Lindsay Bradley and Marcus Bradley; four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Amos McClelland

Services for Amos McClelland, 91, of Troy who died Thursday June 27, 2002 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan was at 4 p.m. Sunday June 30, 2002 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Gerald Maddox officiating.

Burial was at 10 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2002, in Good Hope Cemetery, below Andalusia, under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday June 30, 2002 at the funeral home.

Mr. McClelland was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Gaynell McClelland and two sons, Benson and Huey McClelland.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Chuck and Eleanor McClelland of Troy; twenty grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Stephanie Brown

Services for Stephanie Brown, 47, of Troy who died June 24, 2002, in Pittsburgh, Penn.,

will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2002.

Stephanie was born on April 2, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her parents are Paul and Helen Louise Barnett. She was a college graduate and a Licensed Practical Nurse.

She was preceded in death by a son, Lil Gary Barnett, stepson Willie Joe Brown, Jr. and a brother Paul Anthony Barnett.

Survivors include a husband, Willie Joe Brown, Sr.; four stepchildren, Jerriel Ardeana Brown of Troy, Keith Jerome Brown, Sr. of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Gail Renee Arms of Troy and Bobby Joseph Brown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one loving sister, Sheila Ward of Moon Township; two devoted brothers, Michael Allen Barnett of Pittsburgh and Oakley Jerome Barnett of Pittsburg;;one sister-in-law, Lwactris Brown of Akron, Ohio; six nieces, Tanya I Bradley, Jamaica S. Harris, Anntionette Barnett, Shakonna Barnett, Makeema Barnett and Ebony Barnett; four nephews, James F. Bradley, Arnold Ward, Da’Vaun Barnett and Michael Jones, three dearest friends, Gloria Harvey and Dot and James Brown of Troy; twenty six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, loving cousins and friends.
