Ima Elizabeth Gregory
A memorial service for Ima Elizabeth Gregory, 74, of Dona Vista, Fla., who died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at her home will be held at a later date in Oregon.
Survivors include her husband, Tsgt (Retired) Bert Finlay Gregory, a native of Goshen; a son and his wife, Stephen and Carol Birdsong Gregory of Portland, Oregon; daughter, Carol Ann Gregory of Portland, Oregon and a niece, Ann Louise Cole of Tuberville, Pennsylvania.
Glenda Gail Scarbrough
Services for Glenda Gail Scarbrough, 49, of Troy who died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at her home was at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Leon Fortune officiating.
Burial was in Williams Memorial Cemetery in the Needmore Community under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation was from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2002, at the funeral home.
Survivors include the father of her children, Randy Scarbrough; three sons and their wives Randall and Gretchen Scarbrough of Seattle Washington, Paul Scarbrough and Wesley and Missy Scarbrough both of Troy; daughter, Donna S. Lord of Montgomery; sister, Linda Hamm of Troy; brothers, Herman Dickey, Jr., and Howard Dickey; grandchildren, Eden StameyTaylor Lord, Jessie Cates, Shae Scarbrough, Zack Scarbrough, Hannah Scarbrough, Hope Scarbrough and Courtney Rhodes and many other friends and relatives.
Pallbearers were Randy Brown, Waylon Cousins, Michael Janks, Ted Linzey, Tommy Linzey and Steve Roberts.
Honorary Pallbearers were Bob King and Tommy Sikes.
Mary Alice "Bunny" Williford
Mary Alice "Bunny" Williford, 67, Rt. 2, Box 84, Dozier, died Friday, May 31, 2002, at Andalusia Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 2, 2002, at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with the Rev. Carmen Parrish officiating.
Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of troy directing. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2002 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
Survivors include her husband, Kirvin Williford, Sr. of Dozier; a daughter, Debbie Mock of Enterprise; a son and daughter-in-law, George K. and Debi Williford, Jr. of Marianna, Fla.; grandchildren, Tara Mock of Enterprise, Hunter Mock of Enterprise and Heather Williford of Andalusia; a sister, Jo Ann Mayhew of Blairsville, Ga.; eight sisters-in-law and seven brothers-in-law; Ann and Terry Sport, Sandra and Bucky Walker, Linda Green, Sherry and James Wood, Betty Faye and Bill Harp, Peggy Kaye and Jim Stinson, Pan and Ray Coots, Cindy and Pete Whitehead; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charlie and Marie Williford, Henry and Diane Williford and several other family members.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Clark, Hunter Mock, Terry Sport, Jim Stinson, Joe Vieira and Henry Williford.
Annie Ruth Shirley
Annie Ruth Shirley, 83, of Panama City, Fla., died Friday, May 31, 2002, in a Panama City nursing home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 3, 2002, at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Wilson Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Wilson Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m.
She was the daughter of Frank and Ruth Revill of Goshen where she grew up and attended schools, including troy State University. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City where she was a dedicated worker in the Cradle Roll Department.She worked for 15 years as a dental assistant for Dr. Reeves Wells.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Thompson Shirley, also a native of Pike County, and her older sister Alice.
Survivors include two sons, Benjamine Murray Shirley and wife, Lynne, of Destin, Fla., and William S. Shirley and wife, Helen, of Panama City; six grandchildren, Maryanne Elizabeth Shirley, Rachel Lynn Shirley, Anthony James Shirley, Cynthia Shirley Mullinax and husband, Anthony, Suzanne Shirley Dykes and husband, Grant, Justin Gibson, great-granddaughter, Cameron Melissa Mullinax; brother, Jessie Frank Revill and wife, Laurie, of Pike County; sister, Jean Revill Starling of Troy and numerous nieces and nephews.
