In other Dixie Minor action, Daniel Floyd pitched a complete two-hitter and struck out eight batters as the Diamondbacks beat the Reds 18-4 last week.

Sam Carroll was 4-for-4 with four RBIs to lead the D’Backs charge. Floyd went 2-for-2, was walked twice and added an RBI. Jayden Barnes, Tony Bradberry and Drew Adams each added hits as well.

Issac Sanders and Nicholas Stewart collected hits for the Reds.

Mets 5

A’s 1

Brent Kohn went seven innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out 11 as the Mets beat the A’s 5-1 on Saturday.

Chris Ward was 2-for-3 to lead the Mets. Kohn, Sam Isbell, Landon Long and Andrew Powell each added hits, working at the plate against the A’s Chase Bradley, who also went the distance, striking out 10 batters.

Bradley was 2-for-2 and had a solo shot home run also.

Foster Styron also added a hit for the A’s.

Mets 24

Phillies 2

Blake Sanders contributed four hits in five trips to the plate as the Mets beat the Phillies 24-2 in Dixie Boys action on Thursday.

Long and Isbell each were 3-for-4. Ward, Kohn, Powell, Mason Thompkins and Justin Samples each had two hits. Seth Copeland had a hit also and Levi Davidson added a home run in the third inning.

Long picked up the win with Copeland pitching relief in the four inning contest.

Brandon Hill was 2-for-2 and James Solts added a hit for the Phillies.
