Lula M. Johnson

Services for Lula M. Johnson, 86, of Brundidge who died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at Edge Regional Medical Center will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Enon Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Hester and John Enfinger officiating. There will be a 30 minute lie-in-state prior to the service.

will be in Enon Cemetery in the Enon Community under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at the funeral home.

Survivors include sons and their wives, Len Johnson and Bennie and Lillian Johnson of Brundidge and Jimmie and Marie Johnson of Troy; daughters and their husbands, Ruby Corley and Ann Mathis and Julia and Charles Hagler of Brundidge, Helen and Wally Dyer of Elba and Ruth and Kenneth Lee of Troy; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters and husband, Bertha Benton

and Nellie and Robert Cook of Josie.

 

Sallie B. Fortune

Services for Sallie B. Fortune, 73, of Troy who died April 10, 2002, at Edge Regional Medical Center will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2002, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy. She will lie-in-state from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.

Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2002, at the funeral home.

She was born on May 16, 1928, in Covington County. Her parents were Quinton and Broxie Sasser Bowden. She was a seamstress and worked in the Textile Industry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Fortune.

Survivors include, two sons, Mike Fortune and Ricky Fortune of Troy; two daughters, Wynelle Coker of Monygomery and Teresa Garner of Troy; one sister, Ruby Harris of Andalusia; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Dan Garner, Nick Fortune, Scott Fortune, Jeff Garner, Robert Butterfield and Matt Moseley.
