Troy Police responded to a shooting at approximately 8 p.m. Thursday night on the 100 block of Motes Street.

According to information released by Troy Police Chief Anthony Everage,

two men were shot in some type of altercation with another person or persons.

Public Information Officer Benny Scarbrough said both men were transported to Edge Regional Medical Center. At presstime, Scarbrough said one man was in surgery and the other was going to be transported to another medical facility.

The case is under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
