The Troy State men’s and women’s tennis teams will play host to the Birmingham-Southern in their home opener at the Jimmy Lunsford Tennis Complex Tuesday afternoon. First serve at the new 12-court facility is set for 2:30 p.m.

"This will be a great way to unveil our new facility," head coach Iain Pound said. "Both BSC teams have a couple of matches under their belts and will be ready to play."

The Lady Trojans are 1-0 on the season after defeating UAB, 4-2, last Sunday. Talia Flores and Carolina Aravena led the way, winning both of their respective singles matches and teaming up to win their doubles match. Jayne Hutchinson also picked up a singles victory for TSU. BSC is 1-1 after a 6-1 win over Gardner-Webb and a 7-0 loss to Jacksonville State.
