A 5 p.m. execution of a search warrant

on Jan. 16, by the 12th Judicial Drug Task Force (DTF) and officers from the Troy Police Department, yielded between $1,200 and $1,500 worth of the illegal drug ecstasy and approximately $700 in cash.

According to DTF Investigator, Sgt. Wayne Floyd, one arrest was made during the execution of the search warrant and several of the illegal pills were found at the Troy residence, along with a small amount of marijuana.

Floyd said the arrest was made based on an indictment by the Pike County Grand Jury and asked that the suspect’s name not be released due to the continuing investigation. He added that the search warrant was also issued by the Pike County Grand Jury.
