Dorothy Bogda Slee
Graveside services for Dorothy Bogda Slee, 99, of Summerville, S.C., who died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, in Summerville, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Green Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. Steve Rascoe officiating.
Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Park under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home Inc. of Troy.
Mrs. Slee and her late husband, Robert Wiley Slee, were residents of Prattville for many years. They were both active in the First Presbyterian Church. The couple had celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary before his death in 1984.
Mrs. Slee was born Oct. 29, 1902, in Waupum, Wis. Before moving to Prattville, she and her husband, an industrial engineer, had lived in Wisconsin, Illinois and California. Since 1994, Mrs. Slee had been living in Summerville with her niece by marriage, Dr. Rosemary M. Canfield-Reisman, formerly of Troy.
Dr. Reisman’s son, Dr. Michael Canfield, is in family practice in Summerville and Dr. Reisman is a visiting professor at Charleston Southern University.
Survivors include one nephew, Roy Bogda of Horicon, Wis., and five nieces, Mrs. Ruth T. Aude of Clearwater, Fla.; Mrs. Robert Bell of Orlando, Fla.; Mrs. Merlin Bernges and Mrs. F.R. Schwertfeger, both of Horicon; and Mrs. Fred Sengbusch of Thiensville, Wis.
