Isaac Duncan and Octavious Byrd, both of Dothan, and Kelvin King of Troy were taken into custody at approximately 5 a.m. Sunday.

A subsequent investigation, following the arrests led to the recovery of property reported as stolen from the vehicles during the weekend burglaries.

Troy Police Chief Anthony Everage said more arrests are possible and detectives continue investigating the cases.

Because of these motor vehicle burglaries and others reported in recent weeks, Everage wants to warn motorists to be cautious when they park.

The chief said one way to reduce the chance of becoming a victim is to make sure vehicles are locked when not in use.

Property should be secured by putting it in the trunk or removing it from the vehicle so it does not draw attention to those looking for something to steal.

Parking in a well-lighted area can also act as a deterrent of crime.

Anyone with information on crime can contact the police department at 566-0500 or the Secret Witness Line at 566-5555.
