Gladys Wallace
Gladys Wallace, 70, of Brundidge died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27 at County Line Baptist Church with the Rev. Derrick Lockwood officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Bell’s Liptrot/Dawson Funeral Home directing.
Family hour will be 6-7 p.m. today.
Ruby Nichols Graddy
Ruby Nichols Graddy, 87, of Enterprise died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001 at her home in Enterprise.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27 at First Baptist Church in Enterprise with Dr. Lance Hogan and the Rev. Danny Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home of Enterprise directing. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Enterprise, 302 North Main Street, Enterprise, AL 36330; to First Baptist Church of Troy, 200 West College Street, Troy, AL 36081; or to the American Cancer Society in care of Linda Andress, The Citizens Bank, P.O. Box 310900, Enterprise, AL 36331-0900.
Mrs. Graddy was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow E. Graddy; a daughter, Sandra Rose, and a son-in-law, Sonny Powell.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Bill Sellers of Merrimac, Wis., Gwyn Powell of Bay Minette, Linda and Loftin Martin of Enterprise; son and daughter-in-law, Larry E. and Mary Graddy of Eastaboga; sisters, Winnie Free of Geneva and Ruth Vann of Thomasville, Ga.; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Graddy’s grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the Rebecca Sunday School class from First Baptist Church of Enterprise.
Carlene Carlisle
Carlene Carlisle, 82, of Troy died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001 at Pike Manor Health Care Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Revs. Max Briggs and Kenneth Garner officiating. Burial will be at Elam Cemetery in Goshen with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Redmon of Goshen and Nina (Gary) Ziglar of Ohio; son, James Robert (Linda) Carlisle of Pike Road; sister, Louise (Max) Briggs of Tallasee; three brothers, Walter (Enid) Folmar of Glenwood, Sam (Lela) Folmar of Ozark and Phillip Folmar of Troy; grandchildren, Alison Hubbard, Gina Thomason, Stacie Black, Melanie Redmon, Micah Garner, Michael Redmon, Noel Christian and Eric Ziglar; 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rex Carlisle; three brothers, Travis Folmar, Hugh Folmar and Presley Folmar.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Hinton, Neal Hinton, Tracy Hinton, Ned Cary Jordan, Rodney Jordan and Allen Pennington.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
