The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans were able to claim one win this past week in the Girls Holiday Prep Classic held at Northview High School in Dothan.

CHHS held off Marinna High School of Florida to pick up a 65-62 win in the first round of the tournament on Wednesday. Latofia Barnes scored 15 points and Mary Gilbert and Annie Daniels each added 14 points.

But the Lady Tigers of Dothan ended Troy’s tournament run almost as quickly as it had begun, beating the Lady Trojans 58-30 on Thursday night in the second round.

Dothan opened up a 22-8 lead in the first quarter as 6-foot senior center Alicia Jones scored 14 of her game-high 22 points in the period.

Karla Hollis and Gilbert each had eight for the Lady Trojans who are now 4-3 on the season.
