The Troy State men’s basketball team is scheduled to make two appearances on television this season, with both games being broadcast on Comcast Sports Southeast.
"Any opportunity that you have to showcase your program on TV is great," said Troy State head coach Don Maestri. "This season we get two home games televised, which is going to be a big asset to our program.
We are excited about the opportunity before us to showcase our program to viewers throughout the southeast."
This marks the fourth straight season that the Trojans will make at least one appearance on television.
TSU has appeared on Fox SportsNet South each season, playing host to Mercer last season.
Troy State is no stranger to television, having had two games nationally televised in the past 10 years.
TSU appeared on CBS in the Division II national title game in 1993 and this past season against Georgia State on ESPN.
The first game to be televised will be on Jan. 23 when the Trojans play host to Mercer.
Tipoff has been moved from 7 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The second game is scheduled for Feb. 16, when Troy State takes on defending A-Sun champion Georgia State.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
Barry McKnight will handle the play-by-play duties for both broadcasts.
