Kim Alan Beardslee

Kim Alan Beardslee, 46, of Route 1, Box 223C, Goshen died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. Marvin Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include his father and mother, Earl and Betty Beardslee of Goshen; one sister, Betty Smith of Goshen; three brothers, Daniel Beardslee of Goshen, Clifford Beardslee of Ballston Spa, N.Y. and Eddie Hotaling of Slate Hill, N.Y.; four aunts, Kathleen Maggio of Valrico, Fla., Barbara Doremus of Brandon, Fla., Carol Ackley of Oneonta, N.Y. and Eleanor Utter of Valrico; one uncle, Clayton Utter of Oneonta, N.Y.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. Mr. Beardslee will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Dorothy Brantley Jackson

Dorothy Brantley Jackson, 75, of Troy died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at her home.

Services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Brundidge with the Rev. Jimmy Spikes officiating. Burial was at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Survivors include her husband, William L. "Billy" Jackson of the Pronto Community in Troy; a daughter and son-in-law, Jan Jackson and Robert Posey of Birmingham; a son, William L. "Bill" Jackson Jr. of Troy; two granddaughters, Grace Jackson Posey and Lillian Brantley Posey; five nieces and two nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice or a favorite charity.

Foy Glenn "Faye" Smith

Foy Glenn "Faye" Smith, 67, of Newark, N.J., died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Lily Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Ford officiating. Burial will be in the churchyard cemetery with Bell’s Liptrot/Dawson Funeral Home directing.

Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. today.

Mary Frances McLendon Smithson

Mary Frances McLendon Smithson, 57, of Montgomery died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10 at Leak-Memory Chapel in Montgomery with Dr. Danny Shadix officiating. Burial was at 3 p.m. in the Bethel Cemetary in Banks with Leak-Memory Chapel directing.

Smithson was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Jordan.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeania Renee Donaldson; a son-in-law, Bobby Donaldson; two sisters, Alva Renfroe and Mae Dean Kilpatrick; a brother, Gus McLendon; a grandson, Cory Donaldson.

Pallbearers will be Kanah Best, Lewis Anderson, Grady McInnis, Bobby Outlaw, Wayne Rambo, and Samuel Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Long and Winn Dixie friends.

Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel.
