Minnie Q. Todd

Minnie Q. Todd, 84, of Brundidge died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001 at the Ozark Nursing Facility in Ozark.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Highway 231 South with the Rev. Gerald Wilkes officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Mrs. Todd will lie in state at the church from 1:30-2 p.m. prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband, Horace L. Todd of Brundidge; one sister, Anna Mae Schneider of Beuna, N.J.; two nephews, Ronnie Jackson of Brundidge and Leslie Jackson of Dothan; three great-nieces, Kaye Jackson of Coker, Joy Jackson of Tallahassee, Fla., Shayne Jackson of Birmingham.

Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at Skeen Funeral Home in Brundidge.

The family requests memorials be made to the Gideons.

Pallbearers will be the deacons of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Addie Ruth "Little Mama" Walton

Addie Ruth "Little Mama" Walton, 91, of Troy died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001 at Edge Regional Medical Center in Troy.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 at New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Lynwood with the Rev. Judge Grooms officiating. Burial will be at New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Lynwood with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Walton was born Aug. 6, 1910 in Pike County to Henry and Callie Carlisle. She was a housewife and member of New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Lynwood.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Ola Mae Williams of Troy; one brother, James Otis Carlisle of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one son, Willie (Lola) Felton of Brundidge; one daughter, Mary (James) Bradford of Birmingham and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be noon until 6 p.m. today at Harrison Funeral Home and the body will lie in state one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Vera Tillery Crawford

Vera Tillery Crawford, 91, of Montgomery died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 at Mossy Grove Cemetery on Elba Highway in Troy with Minister Otto P. Hammonds officiating and Leak-Memory Chapel of Montgomery directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus C. Crawford, a loving daughter, Ruby Ammons Hendrick and one great-grandson.

Survivors include four daughters, Thelma Sikes Johnson of Deatsville, Sara Stewart (Charles Shoults) of Selma, Sybil Parker (Lucien) of Ramer, Martha Jordan (Virgil) of Lowndesboro; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Etha Head (Calvin); one brother, Hubert Tillery (Mrytle) of Troy.

Granchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today.

George Dewey Barron

George Dewey Barron, 57, of Pueblo, Colo., formerly of Troy, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001 in Pueblo.

Memorial services were held Nov. 27, 2001 at Romero Chapel Funeral Home in Pueblo.

Survivors include his wife, Madeline; three daughters, Sheryl Thielemier of Pueblo, Crystal Jeffries and Vonda Weiss, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren; three brothers, Aubrey Barron, Edward Barron and Charles Barron, all of Troy; three sisters, Dorothy Jean Rosales of Pueblo, Carolyn Hester of Troy and Lois Wood of Dothan.

Lamar Preston "Pete" Foster

Lamar Preston "Pete" Foster, 69, of Goshen died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at Macedonia C.M.E. Church in Goshen with the Rev. J.L. Jones officiating. Burial will be in the churchyard with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Foster was born March 5, 1932 in Pike County to Louis and Lula Mae Foster. He attended Pike County schools and retired from the Pike Farmers Co-op. He was a member of Macedonia C.M.E. Church in Goshen and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Mary Alice Canty Foster; his mother, Lula Mae McGhee; eight children, Brenda Harris of Troy, Jerome Ross (Earnestine) Rosyln Foster of Goshen, Cassandra (Willie) Lowery of Grady, Joanne (Rev. Morris) Clayton, Ronnie Foster, Donnie Foster, Darrell Foster, all of Goshen; one brother, Bishop James (Pauleen) Foster of Clairton, Pa.; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Charlie G. Sankey, Larry Tucker, Clinton Franklin, Willie James Oliver, Joe Foster and Willie Youngblood. Honorary

pallbearers will be Michael Burden, Doug Carter and James Lester Merritt. Friends of the family will serve as floralbearers.

Visitation will be noon until 6 p.m. today and the body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Linda Andrews Dallas

Linda Andrews Dallas, 95, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001 in Jacksonville.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Hollis officiating. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery in Glenwood with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

She was born March 13, 1906 in Pike County.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. today and the body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
