Campbell’s Cromartie awarded Atlantic Sun Player of the Week

MACON, Ga. – The 2000-01 Atlantic Sun Player-of-the-Year, Campbell University’s April Cromartie (Sr., Garland, NC) tied her career-high points scored with 35 and posted 15 boards against A-Sun newcomer, Belmont in the opening conference game to earn this week’s Player-of-the-Week honor.

Cromartie shot .846 from the field and .867 from the free throw line against the Bruins, and also picked up a block and a steal. In the Lady Camels three games this past week, she averaged 25 points, 11.7 boards and shot .657 overall and .763 from the line

She is the A-Sun’s second leading scorer averaging 19.2 ppg and the second leading rebounder with 9.7 rpg. She is the top offensive rebounder with 28 boards (4.67 rpg) and is currently listed second in shooting percentage at .639.
