Crimson Tide rolls over Lady Trojans

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ­ Beth Vice scored 18 points and LaNisha Cartwell added 16 on Tuesdsay night, helping the Alabama women’s basketball team to a 101-58 win over Troy State at Coleman Coliseum.
Alabama (2-0) jumped out to a 27-11 lead early and never looked back en route to winning its 97th consecutive non-conference game at home and its 12th straight against the Lady Trojans (0-2).
Troy State committed 32 turnovers, including 20 in the first half, and shot just 32 percent from the floor to aid in its demise. Alabama shot 51 percent and outrebounded the Lady Trojans, 47-45.
